Neon is looking for a Product Management Intern to develop and execute strategies to scale our buy now, pay later product and drive adoption. You will be a strategic thought partner in evaluating the value proposition of our core product, identifying opportunities for growth, and helping ensure that Neon leverages data and analytics to effectively measure performance and improve customer experience.
In this role, you will report directly to the CEO and play a major role in building Neon’s core product. Ideal candidates should be able to conduct research and analyze data to develop workable business and product strategies, document user responses to products, and develop strategies to improve productivity and profitability.
PM Internship Program Details
- This internship can be structured as 20 hrs/week school-year internship during the Winter quarter in 2024 (starting in January 2024). Minimum 4 hours of work required for the days you choose to work, although we prefer that you work 8 hours per day, if your schedule permits.
- The duration of the internship varies between 10-12 weeks. You are allowed to take time off during your exam week. Specific details to be discussed when an offer is extended.
- This is a paid internship opportunity. Pay rate: $30/hour.
- Work Location: 205 N Michigan Ave, Chicago IL 60601. [2-minute walk from MPP, MILA, 73E]
- You will be required to work from the office location during the duration of your internship.
- Not eligible for hybrid or remote work.
- This position is open for both 1st Year and 2nd Year MBAs.
Basic Stuff

- Master’s degree in business administration, or engineering. Full-time MBAs from top-5 MBA schools are highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal skills — Your communication & presentation skills allow you to explain complex analytical findings to audiences at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and complex business environment — Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
- You can balance an understanding of the key drivers of the business with the analytical rigor necessary to move the business forward quickly.
- Metrics-driven mind with eye for creativity — Experience or interest in developing go-to-market plans with a strong focus on strategy, customer research, product requirements, developing strategies to improve productivity and profitability, etc.
- Ability to effectively lead, inspire, and mentor direct and indirect reports.
- Demonstrable experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, across geographies, including executive management, engineering, data science, operations, and marketing.
- A self-starter who can take the ball and run with it with a positive attitude.
